Flydubai, one of the leading low-cost airlines, is anticipating a remarkable summer travel season with over 4.5 million passengers expected to travel between 01 June and 30 September 2023 across its extensive network. The projected number reflects the increasing demand for travel, passengers’ confidence in Flydubai’s services, and the allure of Dubai as a destination. The airline aims to provide passengers with more options and convenience, with over 115 destinations to choose from.

Flydubai is prepared for a surge in passenger traffic during the Eid Al Adha holiday period between 24 June and 02 July. The airline has increased its capacity by 20% on select destinations within its network to accommodate the higher demand. Popular destinations such as Baku, Beirut, Colombo, Male, Tbilisi, Yerevan, and Zanzibar will experience enhanced travel options during this busy period.

To meet the growing travel demand and offer more choices to passengers, Flydubai has expanded its network to 117 destinations across 52 countries. This includes new seasonal summer routes and a significant presence in Europe, with 28 destinations now served. The airline’s continuous network expansion reflects its commitment to providing diverse travel opportunities for both leisure and business travelers.

Flydubai’s efforts to enhance passenger experience also include growing its fleet. Since the start of 2023, the airline has added seven new aircraft to its fleet, increasing the total number of Boeing 737s to 79. This represents a significant 23% growth compared to the previous year, ensuring increased capacity and flexibility in serving passengers.

With an average of 9,400 flights per month scheduled between June and September, Flydubai is well-equipped to handle the summer travel season’s demands. August, in particular, is expected to be the busiest month with a high number of flights.

Flydubai’s commitment to diversity is reflected in its workforce, which now includes 560 new colleagues from 138 different nationalities. The airline values inclusivity and aims to create a global team that represents its diverse customer base.

As Flydubai prepares for another record-breaking summer, it continues to strengthen its position as a key player in the aviation industry. By offering an extensive network, increased capacity, and a commitment to passenger satisfaction, Flydubai strives to deliver exceptional travel experiences and contribute to the growth of Dubai as a global travel hub.
